The camera is adapted to take panoramic photographs, covering an arc of up to 180 deg. It has a drum (3) rotating inside a curved holding plate with an exposure window (4) which holds the photographic film (5), and the camera lens is mounted on the axis of the drum. Light enters through an aperture (9) in one side of the drum, passes though the lens and goes through a diametrically opposed slit (8) to fall on the film. A shutter (10) may cover the slit (8), and there is a drive mechanism and a catch member (11) controlling the motion of the drum. This catch may engage with a spring-loaded pawl (18).
