PURPOSE:To enable the measuring of a plurality of natures such as quality of material, moisture and hue of a subject simultaneously neously to be performed with one unit by arranging a detector comprising InGaAs elements which is capable of measuring all wavelength components separated by a separation means. CONSTITUTION:Light of a light source 1 is condensed with a condenser lens 4 and admitted into a detector 6 such as InGaAs element through a rotary sector 5. As for detection signals of the element 6, first - third signals e1-e3 corresponding to components of first-third measuring wavelengths lambda1-lambda3 are held by first - third sample holding circuits 81-83 by a synchronous signal of a synchronous signal generator 50. Then, quality of material such as basis weight of a subject 3 is measured from the signal e1 corresponding to the component of the wavelength lambda1 of the circuit 81 and a ratio e2/e1 of the signal e2 and the signal e1 of the circuit 81 is computed by an arithmetic means 91 to measure a moisture content of the subject 3. Moreover, the ratio e3/e1 of the signal e3 of the circuit 83 and the signal e1 of the circuit 81 is computed by an arithmetic means 92 to measure natures such as hue. |
