PURPOSE:To provide an oncotropic peptide or a salt thereof which is useful in diagnosis and treatment for pathologic tissues such as human-including mammalian tumors, and a radioactive diagnostic agent and a radioactive therapeutic agent containing a radioactive metal-labeled peptide from said peptide or its salt and them. CONSTITUTION:An oncotropic peptide having 20 or less amino acid residues comprising the amino acid sequence of X1-YCAREPPT-X2, when each amino acid is represented with one letter, or a salt thereof, a radioactive metal-labeled peptide from said peptide or its salt and a radioactive metal and a radioactive metal-labeled diagnostic agent and a radioactive metal-labeled treating agent containing the same. In this amino acid sequence, X1 is a basic organic compound bearing 1-3 amino groups; the amino acid sequence, YCAR, comprises amino acid residues of L- and/or D-isomers of Y, C, A and R; and X2 is an arbitrary amino acid sequence. Thus, the peptide is highly labeled with the radioactive metal, but causes no accumulation in stable and normal tissues in vivo. |
