PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diffuser for a fuel pool prevented from being a hindrance when nuclear fuel is put in or taken out, and capable of improving the efficiency of attaching work. SOLUTION: A pumping hole 5 is formed in a liner plate 2 constituting one portion of a liner m lined onto an inner face of the fuel pool P, a diffuser main body 3 is provided in a reverse face side of the hole 5 to be embedded inside a wall face, and piping h of a cooling cleaning system F extended penetratedly through the wall face is connected to the diffuser main body 3. Since the main body 3 is thereby attached in an embedded condition, the main body 3 is precluded from being interfered with the nuclear fuel or the like and being the hindrance thereto, when the fuel or the like is taken out or likely.
