<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load sensor and an occupant protection system capable of performing identification of an adult and an infant seat at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The load sensor 2 detects the load state of a seat 5 of the vehicle by sensor cells A1-A4, B1-B4, C1-C4 arranged on the seat 5 and is constituted such that centers of detection areas A, B, C where at least one sensor cells A1-A4, B1-B4, C1-C4 is arranged are set to at least one area selected from an area where difference of the load distribution at mounting of the infant seat and the load distribution at riding of the adult is large on the seat 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
