<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new material which can hold an average discharge voltage of ≥3 V and can have a discharge capacity equal to or above that of a lithium-cobalt oxide based positive electrode material in a charge-discharge cycle over a long period, and which can be obtained using inexpensive raw material having little restraint in resources and further can exhibit more excellent charge-discharge properties compared with well-known inexpensive positive materials. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ferritic compound oxide is expressed by the compositional formula of Li<SB>1+x</SB>(Mn<SB>1-m-n</SB>Fe<SB>m</SB>Al<SB>n</SB>)<SB>1-x</SB>O<SB>2</SB>(0<x<1/3, 0.05≤m≤0.75, 0.01≤n≤0.5, 0.06≤m+n<1), and has layered rock salt structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
