PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition for a coated molded product, capable of coating a molded product to impart good appearance, wherein the molded product is formed through injection molding involving branching of a flow of molten resin into a plurality of directions and subsequent confluence of a plurality of flows. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition is for the molded product which is molded through injection molding and subsequently coated, wherein the injection molding involves branching of the flow of the molten resin into a plurality of directions and subsequent confluence of the plurality of flows. The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 10-50 pts.wt. rubber-containing graft copolymer (A) obtained through graft polymerization of a vinyl cyanide monomer (ii) and an aromatic vinyl monomer (iii) to a rubbery polymer (i), 5-30 pts.wt. vinyl copolymer (B) obtained by copolymerizing the vinyl cyanide monomer (i) with the aromatic vinyl monomer (iii), 10-50 pts.wt. modified vinyl copolymer (C) obtained by copolymerizing an epoxy group monomer (iv) with at least the vinyl cyanide monomer (i) and the aromatic vinyl monomer (iii) and 10-40 pts.wt. polybutylene terephthalate resin (D) having≥11 eq/t carboxyl end groups. Here, the contents of components (C) and (D) satisfy relation (1): 70≤carboxyl end groups (eq/t)×(D) content (wt.%)/(C) content (wt.%)×(iv) content (wt.%)≤350.
