PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection apparatus and an electronic apparatus capable of accurately detecting the position of a prescribed object. SOLUTION: In position detection apparatuses 30 and 40 having both a movable frame 3 movable along the axial direction of a drive shaft 13 and a ring-like frame 4 movable along the axial direction of a drive shaft 23 for detecting the positions of these frame bodies with respect to a frame 1, which supports the movable frame 3 and the ring-like frame 4, a magnet 51 is provided for a part of the movable frame 3 corresponding to a virtual plane which includes the axis of the drive shaft 13 and which forms a plane approximately perpendicular from the frame 1 toward the drive shaft 13, and a magnet 52 is provided for a part of the ring-like frame 4 corresponding to a virtual plane which includes the axis of the drive shaft 23 and which forms a plane approximately perpendicular from the frame 1 toward the drive shaft 23. By providing the frame 1 with magnetic sensors 61 and 62 for detecting changes in the positions of the magnets 51 and 52, it is possible to accurately detect the positions of the movable frame 3 and the ring-like frame 4 and the position of a lens 5 arranged in the ring-like frame 4.
