PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply perform a setting at and after the installation.SOLUTION: A broadcast signal multiplexer for multiplexing a first broadcast signal arranged to one or more frequency bands and a second broadcast signal different from the first broadcast signal and for outputting them, comprises: input means (input terminal 12) to which the first broadcast signal is inputted; modulation means (OFDM modulation part 22) that modulates the second broadcast signal; mixing means (mixing part 23) that mixes the inputted first broadcast signal and the second broadcast signal modulated by the modulated means; demodulation means (OFDM demodulation part 17) that demodulates a broadcast signal outputted from the mixing means; and control mans (control part 19) that controls the modulation means so as to temporarily stop supplying of the second broadcast signal to the mixing means, obtain a state where only first broadcast signal is outputted from the mixing means, specify the frequency band with a blank of the first broadcast signal with reference to the output of demodulation means, and set the second broadcast signal to the blank frequency band.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
