摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which enables the enhancement in long-term durability in a large-size nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can be used for e.g. driving an electric motor vehicle.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode having a positive electrode current collector, and a positive electrode active material layer formed on a surface of the positive electrode current collector and including a positive electrode active material; and a negative electrode having a negative electrode current collector, and a negative electrode active material layer formed on a surface of the negative electrode current collector and including a negative electrode active material and an aqueous binder. The ratio of a battery area (a battery projection area including a battery sheath body) to a rating capacity is 5 cm/Ah or larger; the rating capacity is 3 Ah or larger. The negative electrode active material includes artificial graphite or coated natural graphite. The content of artificial graphite and coated natural graphite to the total content of natural graphite, artificial graphite and coated natural graphite in the negative electrode active material layer is 50 vol.% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
