PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for gas barrier that has good coatability in the case when it contains a small amount of a volatile base or acid, can form a layer including a polyvalent metal salt of a polycarboxylic acid polymer using one liquid and is excellent in liquid stability, to provide a method for producing the coating liquid and to provide a gas-barrier packaging material using the coating liquid.SOLUTION: The method for producing a coating liquid for gas barrier has a step of preparing a solution (1) including a component (A) and a component (B) as given below and a solvent in which the content of the component (B) is such an amount as to neutralize a part of carboxyl groups of the component (A), a step of preparing a solution (2) including the component (B), a component (C) and a component (D) as given below and a solvent and a step of mixing the solution (1) and the solution (2) to produce a coating liquid for gas barrier. The component (A): a polycarboxylic acid polymer; the component (B): a polyvalent metal ion; the component (C): a volatile base or acid (exclusive of carbonate acid); and the component (D): a carbonate ion.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
