<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide photocurable ink producing an image excellent in adhesion to a substrate, free from surface stickiness even when using a highly light-absorptive and highly light-reflective color material; and to provide a method for recording an image. <P>SOLUTION: The photocurable ink includes a color material, a cationic polymerizable compound and a photoacid generator, and contains 3-800 mM of a monovalent organic acid having pKa of 2.0-5.5.
