A method for imaging in a CT system having a flat module detector array, the method comprising: obtaining fan beam projection data of an object from a CT scan; obtaining a geometric structure parameter of the flat module detector array; converting the fan beam projection data into parallel projection data, the conversion comprising: rebinning data from the fan beam projection data based on the geometric structure parameter, wherein the rebinning comprises: re-sampling the fan beam projection data based on the geometric structure parameter to obtain a relation between the fan beam projection data and corresponding parallel beam projection data, utilizing setting parameters of the CT scan; andapplying interpolation to the fan beam projection data based on the corresponding relation between the parallel beam projection data and the fan beam projection data, wherein the interpolation applied to the fan beam projection data is a 6th order Lagrange interpolation; and generating a CT image from the parallel beam projection data.
