1. A production process for a self-dispersible pigment, the process comprising a step of bonding a functional group containing a hydrophilic group to a particle surface of a pigment by causing at least one treatment agent selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by the following general formula (1) and a compound represented by the following general formula (2) to react with the particle surface of the pigment:wherein R1, R2 and R3 are, independently of one another, a hydrogen atom, a group having at least one of an aliphatic group and an aromatic group, a carboxylate ester group, or —S(═O)2—R4, with the proviso that R1, R2 and R3 are not hydrogen atoms at the same time, R4 is a hydroxy group or a group having at least one of an aliphatic group and an aromatic group, and A1 is selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group, a phosphonic acid group, and a group (a) having at least one of an aliphatic group and an aromatic group, and (b) being substituted with at least one hydrophilic group selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group, and a phosphonic acid group; andwherein R5 and R6 are, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom, a group having at least one of an aliphatic group and an aromatic group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, an amino group, an alkoxy group, a thioalkoxy group, an acyl group, a carboxylate ester group, an aryloxy group, a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group, or a phosphonic acid group, with the proviso that R5 and R6 are not hydrogen atoms at the same time, R7 is a hydrogen atom, a group having at least one of an aliphatic group and an aromatic group or a carboxylate ester group, and A2 is selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group, a phosphonic acid group, and a group (a) having at least one of an aliphatic group and an aromatic group, and (b) being substituted with at least one hydrophilic group selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid group, a sulfonic acid group, a phosphoric acid group, and a phosphonic acid group. |
