A hermetically sealed gas heater comprising: a heater main body; an introduction hole configured to introduce a fuel gas into the heater main body; a combustion chamber configured to combust the fuel gas introduced from the introduction hole; and a discharge section into which an exhaust gas generated by combustion in the combustion chamber is guided, wherein the heater main body comprises a heating plate which is constituted by a thin plate member and has a radiation surface heated by the exhaust gas flowing through the discharge section and configured to transfer radiant heat to a heating target in a state in which the radiation surface is spaced apart from the heating target, the radiation surface being an external surface of the heater main body, and an ejection port configured to partially or entirely eject the exhaust gas toward the heating target is formed at the radiation surface, the ejection port passing through the heating plate in a thickness direction of the heating plate at a central portion of the hermetically sealed gas heater, the exhaust gas being partially or entirely ejected from the ejection port toward the heating target so as to accelerate a convection current from the radiation surface toward the heating target.
