PURPOSE:To provide a reproducing device in which a user easily recognizes reproduced voices without for him to set a reproducing speed by automatically changing the reproducing speed in accordance with the condition of the voices to be reproduced. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of a storage device 11 which stores signals, a data reading device 12 which reads the signals from the device 11 while segmenting the signals into frames for every prescribed time interval, a variable speed reproducing device 13 which has a variable reproducing speed for the signals, a parameter extracting device 14 which extracts the parameters that represent the prescribed characteristics of the signals for every frame read by the device 12 and a reproducing speed deciding device 15 which determines the reproducing speed based on the parameters extracted by the device 14. |
