The storage compartment(3) is constructed as a drawer open at the top and which is movable in straight guides(12,13) and withdrawable from them, and a roller blind(5) with stiff strips(9) for selective opening and shutting off of its upper side. Viewed from the side the drawer has a C-shaped middle section(6) against which lies a side wall(7,8) on each side. The middle section is formed double-walled to accommodate the roller blind in the open state.
