The element has a channel segment (5) defined by two relatively spaced opposing sidewalls (2,3), a base wall (4) extending between the latter and a cover (6), secured to one of the sidewalls via a hinge, allowing it to be displaced between two stable positions. The hinge has a central knee-lever arm (11) with two partial arms (12,13) and a pair of pivot arms (8) on either side of it coupled to the channel sidewall. The cover may be spring biased into one of the 2 stable positions.
