The wall (1) divides a carriage into standing, seating, and multi-purpose areas and is divided mainly vertically into several sections. The wall section (3) facing into the carriage is fastened to the outer wall section (2) and to the floor (4), and can be replaced to compensate for size variations. The outer wall section is fastened to the floor, side wall (5) and ceiling (6), and the inner wall sections are fastened to the ground via an adaptor rail (7). The rail also has a lower fastening point (8) for a holder bar (10), which acts to stabilize the inner walls section.
