PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reset a load circuit of a microcomputer, or the like, instantaneously upon occurrence of malfunction, e.g. runaway, by short-circuiting the first, and second supply terminals of a power supply to be connected with the load circuit in order to discharge a capacitor in the load circuit when a battery is not contained in a battery containing part. SOLUTION: When batteries 10, 10' are contained in a battery containing part 2, the (-) electrode of the battery 10 abuts against one contact part 6b of a resilient spring piece 6. As the contact part 6b is moved outward along a through hole 7 of the battery containing part 2, the other contact part 6b of the resilient spring piece 6 is separated from a power supply terminal 5b and power is supplied from the batteries 10, 10' to a load circuit 4. When the battery 10 is removed from the battery containing part 2, no external force is applied to the contact part 6b of the resilient spring piece 6 and the resilient spring piece 6 is reset with a supporting part 8 as a fulcrum axis. Consequently, the resilient spring piece 6 is connected, at the opposite ends thereof, with the first and second supply terminals 5a, 5b thus short-circuiting the load circuit 4. |
