PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase abrasive workability, and also prevent damage to a ground surface by abrasive grains. SOLUTION: In this grinding device, the end surface of an optical fiber connector 2 is ground while drawing a roll-like abrasive film 3 to move it in one direction. In this case, a connector holding member 5 for holding the plural connectors 2 is provided in a movement path for the film 3, and also a film receiving member 6 is arranged in the opposite side to the connector 2 with the film 3 nipped in between, moreover a connector reciprocatively moving means 7, for reciprocatively moving the member 5 in parallel to the film 3 and in a direction Y different from the moving direction X of the film 3, is provided, to reciprocatively move the connector 2, in a condition where the end surface of the connector 2 is pressed to the film 3 while receiving a backing strip by the member 6 and moving the film 3, thereby grinding the end surface of the connector 2. |
