PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of excellently forming image on recording material without causing a faulty attraction or faulty transfer by stably electrostatically attracting the recording material to a recording material carrier and carrying it regardless of the size of the recording material. SOLUTION: When a small size recording material passes through an attraction part and is electrostatically attracted to a transfer belt, a lot of current out of attraction current flows to a paper non-passing part having low resistance, so that the attraction current flowing to a paper passing part gets insufficient, the surface charge density on the recording material becomes small, and a faulty attraction is caused. Then, the control of the attraction current according to the width of the recording material is performed as shown by a line A (the attraction current obtained when the maximum value of the width of the recording material is 297 mm is 5.0μA, and that obtained when it is 100 mm is 10.0μA, and the attraction current is linearly increased in proportion to the decrease of the width of the recording material between the above values) concerning attraction bias applied to a lower roller being either one of the attraction electrifying means.
