PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate editing working of lyric data that is conventionally needed, prior to the preparation processing in preparation processing of time stamp data for displaying the lyric data synchronized with music data on a small-sized display. SOLUTION: A system for preparing synchronous data for music and lyric comprises a playback part for reproducing music data and a display part for displaying the music data and performs lyric data display interlocked with music. The system determines the display unit of the lyric data suitable for being displayed on the display part, by analyzing the lyric data of one row (ST203), and prepares synchronous data for the music and the lyric data, by adding a lyric display time at the display unit of the lyric data (ST206). In addition, the system is provided with a lyric data analysis part for determining the display unit of the lyric data. The lyric data analyzing part divides the lyric data into clauses, can display them on the display part and determines the consistencies of the clauses, comprising one or a plurality of the clauses that are displayable on the display unit.
