<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical cell having high-energy density, while preventing generation of internal short-circuitings. <P>SOLUTION: The cylindrical cell is equipped with an outer package can 2, an electrode group 14 stored in the outer package can 2 and formed by winding a positive electrode plate 18 and a negative electrode plate 20 forming band shapes, respectively, and a separator 16 pinched by the electrode plates 18, 20 around a winding core, a space 14a secured by pulling out the winding core at a center part of the electrode group 14, and at least an electrode piece 26 provided at the space 14a and that is separate from the positive electrode plate 18 or the negative electrode plate 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
