FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly changing of rolling and backup rolls of rolling mill. ^ SUBSTANCE: rolling mill includes support plates movable normally relative to axes of rolls at working side of stands. Said plates are designed for receiving blocks of rolling rolls and they are abutted to floor of shop for feeding and discharging rolling rolls. In front of each stand at its working side there is port whose base is designed for unloading blocks of rolling rolls. Apparatus for transporting support plates moves each support plate between its position for changing rolling rolls when support plates are arranged just near rolling stands over ports and position for changing backup rolls when support plates are descended under floor of shop near port region. ^ EFFECT: shortened time periods for changing rolling rolls and backup rolls, less long route for transporting rolling rolls. ^ 7 cl, 4 dwg |
