PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button unit for a game machine, which is capable of effectively using an energy generated when an operator operates the game machine. SOLUTION: A left stop button 7L has a pushing part 105 being pushed by the player, a button base part 108 extending along the pushing direction, and a piezoelectric element 118 generating a power according to distortion formed when the pushing part 105 is pushed; and the piezoelectric element 118 is provided on the side of a spring 103 of the button base part 108 and, when the pushing part 105 is pushed, generates the power according to the distortion formed by being pushed by the button base part 108 and the spring 103.
