The method involves coupling a coulometric measuring cell with discharged microwave-supported water and other volatile materials from solid, liquid and pasty samples. The samples are directly heated by microwaves without delay, and released analytes are guided into the measuring cell using a carrier gas stream. Temperature of the samples is controlled by a frequency-variable microwave source (12). Temperature of the samples is measured by an infrared measuring device (7). Material quantity per time is determined by a measuring device i.e. titrator (11).
