PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector, set to a sling when used, having a high protection effect for the sling and a workpiece. SOLUTION: The sling protector 10 is provided with a main body belt 11 composed of a flexible material of a predetermined length and sling covering bodies 12, 12 bound to one surface of the main body belt at at least two positions spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the main body belt. The sling covering body has a pair of foldback parts 12a, 12b (right and left) extending outward in a width direction of the main body belt and stores and holds a sling chain S by folding back and overlapping the fold back parts 12a, 12b and engaging hook and loop fastener members 15, 16 with each other to be in a closed state. The workpiece and sling chain are protected by fitting the sling protector set to the sling chain to a corner part of the workpiece such as a column and lifting them.
