PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a device by assigning a cap the role of wiping. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes four caps 62, a cap moving mechanism moving the caps 62 along the periphery of a drum, four inkjet heads 2, a head moving mechanism moving the inkjet heads 2 between a printing position and a withdrawal position, and a control device controlling the cap moving mechanism and the head moving mechanism. The control device controls the head moving mechanism so as to position the inkjet head 2 in a wiping position and controls the cap moving mechanism so as to move the caps 62 in the peripheral direction while one side 63a of the caps 62 and ink discharge faces 2a are in contact when the inkjet heads 2 are in the wiping position.
