PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated film for use as a substrate of a polarizing plate protective film, facilitating defect inspection in a state laminated on a polarizing plate as the protective film thereof, whose hue and haze fall within a range suitable to perform defect inspection of the polarizing plate. SOLUTION: This laminated film for use as a substrate of a polarizing plate protective film is composed of a core layer and both surface layers in contact therewith. The surface layers each comprises a polyester composition containing 0.05-0.10 wt.% of porous silica particles with 0.1-5μm average particle size, and the core layer comprises a polyester composition containing 0.02-0.04 wt.% of porous silica particles with 0.1-5μm average particle size.
