PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which has a wide angle of view and a high zoom ratio, is compact in size and light in weight, and has high optical performance over the entire zoom range and to provide an imaging apparatus using the zoom lens.SOLUTION: In the zoom lens comprising, in order from an object side to an image side, a positive first group which is not moved for zooming, a negative second group which is moved in zooming, a negative third group which is moved in zooming, a positive fourth group which is moved in zooming, and a positive fifth group, when zooming from a wide-angle end to a telephoto end, the second group is moved from the object side to the image side, and when performing focus adjustment from infinity to close range, the third group is moved from the image side to the object side. The focal length fw of the zoom lens at the wide-angle end, a zoom ratio Z, the focal length fz of the zoom lens in a zoom position where the third group is located on the most object side, the focal length f1 of the first group, the focal length f2 of the second group, the focal length f3 of the third group, and the focal length f4 of the fourth group are appropriately set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
