PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide member for a fishing line, the member that is superior in impact resistance.SOLUTION: A guide member 1 for a fishing line is characterized in that a crystal polymorphism of a silicon carbide is a silicon carbide sintered compact comprising 4H type, 6H type and 15R type, and the 6H type is 30 mass% or more and 48.5 mass% or less, the 15R type is 1 mass% or more and 7 mass% or less, and the remainder is 4H type among the total 100 mass% of the 4H type, 6H type and 15R type, and Al contains the silicon carbide crystal formed in a solid solution. The guide member satisfies such a configuration, and thereby is high in fracture toughness and superior in impact resistance. Accordingly, it is hard to cause a breakage even by the shock applied when a fishing rod is made to fall or drop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
