PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a lead acid storage battery to present proper characteristics while avoiding trouble caused by a component of incompatible water by providing deterrence for preventing a user from erroneously supplying incompatible water.SOLUTION: The lead acid storage battery comprises: an electrode plate group in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are laminated via a separator; a battery jar including a plurality of cell chambers each for storing the electrode plate group and an electrolyte; a lid for sealing an opening of the battery jar while including a liquid port just above the cell chambers; a liquid port plug for closing the liquid port; and a substantially rectangular label which is formed from a substrate and an adhesive layer and stuck to the lid so as to close all the liquid port plugs. The label is separated into a portion including four corners and a portion including the right upper side of the liquid port plug by a perforation that divides the substrate in an intermittent manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
