PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which both of cycle endurance and storage endurance can be achieved.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a negative electrode current collector foil, and a negative electrode mixture layer disposed on the negative electrode current collector foil. The negative electrode mixture layer includes a plurality of granulated particles. The granulated particles each include a negative electrode active material 2 and a coating 4. The coating 4 is formed on the surface of the negative electrode active material 2. The coating 4 includes a first film 4a formed on the surface of the negative electrode active material 2, and a second film 4b formed on the first film 4a. The first film 4a includes a carboxymethyl cellulose-based polymer. The second film 4b includes a polyacrylic acid-based polymer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
