摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize expansion of transmission capacity by improving frequency utilization efficiency while releasing cost raise due to high speed of an electric circuit and increase in the number of wavelengths, decrease in an operation margin, and deterioration in transmission performance. <P>SOLUTION: Independent digital signals are each superimposed on optical strength and an optical phase of mark bit or an optical frequency thereof almost simultaneously, and transmitted.
