PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element using a liquid crystal composition having negative dielectric anisotropy and capable of achieving excellent display characteristics when used for a liquid crystal display element including a photoalignment film, without degrading various characteristics as a liquid crystal display element such as dielectric anisotropy, viscosity, a maximum temperature of a nematic phase, nematic phase stability at a low temperature and γ1, and burn-in characteristics of the display element.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal composition comprising at least one compound selected from a group of compounds represented by general formula (I) is used.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
