A method for forming starting populations of laboratory entomophages including selection from natural ecosystems and laboratory growing of Trichogramma. Natural populations of entomophages are selected by means of collecting the corresponding stages of host insects, in particular eggs, caterpillars or larvae and pupae, infected by entomophages, with further hatching thereof in the laboratory conditions. In addition samples are selected from various geographic regions as well as a size of starting populations is 550-600 individuals and also a ratio of sexes for bisexual species is about 1:1. In addition, samples of biomaterial are taken, a picture of the hemolymph of the entomophages is assessed and the populations infected by pathogens are culled. |
