<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an α-alumina bulk body using a chemical solution method and laser irradiation capable of rapidly manufacturing the α-alumina bulk body by using laser irradiation for an amorphous alumina molded article not containing residual organic materials without requiring a heat treatment for a long time by a heating furnace for high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: Alumina gel powder is prepared by removing a solvent from a uniform precursor solution manufactured by adding an acetic acid and ethanol to an aluminum butoxide solution dissolved in ethyl acetate, then heating the solution, as a preparation process. Next, the amorphous alumina powder is obtained by subjecting the aluminum gel powder to the heat treatment for two hours at 500°C under the atmospheric pressure, as a calcination process. Further, the amorphous alumina molded article is obtained by subjecting the amorphous alumina powder to press molding and is irradiated with a laser beam of a carbon dioxide laser via a kaleidoscope, as a laser irradiation process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
