A detergent additive for use in a process for bleaching stained fabric comprises an enzyme exhibiting peroxidase activity and optionally also hydrogen peroxide or a precursor thereof, e.g. a perborate or percarbonate. The detergent additive may further comprise an enzyme capable of generating hydrogen peroxide, e.g. an oxidase, and a substrate therefor.
