A skiing or hiking stick has a tube (10) composed of at least two tubular sections (11, 12) and provided at its top end with a handle (13). One of the tubular sections (11, 12) is made of a metal whereas the other is made of a plastic material. In order to provide a light skiing or hiking stick having improved handling characteristics, the lower tubular section (11) is made of a deflection resistant plastic material. |
