PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a floating mat for growing a plant, capable of forming a floating state suitable for symbiosis of flora and fauna and facilitating the growth of a hydrophyte by laminating a vegetation substrate on the upper surface of a net-like resin foam. SOLUTION: The objective floating mat is obtained by laminating a vegetation substrate preferably comprising an organic soft material on the upper surface of a net-like resin foam. The organic material is preferably constituted of one or more kinds selected from a palm fiber, a linen fiber, a hemp palm fiber, a wood fiber, a wood chip and sawdust. The base resin of the net-like resin foam is preferably an olefinic resin. Further, preferably, the floating mat is surrounded by a net, and used for growing an emerging plant. |
