PURPOSE: A thickness-reduction steel beam and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve molding efficiency by preventing the loss of materials and easily transform the flanges according to the shape of a deck plate and concrete to which the steel beam is connected. CONSTITUTION: A thickness-reduction steel beam(100) comprises a web body(110) and a flange part(120). The web body is located in the center of the steel beam and embedded in concrete. The flange part comprises an upper flange(121), a lower flange(122), and extension pieces. The upper flange is attached to the top of the web body. The lower flange is attached to the bottom of the web body. The extension pieces are integrally projected upward from both ends of the width of the lower flange to the top.
