COMPOSITE MAGNETIC PARTICLE POWDER FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM, AND MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite magnetic particle powder for a magnetic recording medium which has excellent dispersibility into a vehicle by suppressing stacking between particles and which has a low volume resistivity value.

SOLUTION: In the composite magnetic particle powder for a magnetic recording medium, the surface of the particles in magnetoplumbite type ferrite particle powder is coated with a surface modifier, and carbon black adheres to the surface of the particles coated with the surface modifier. The adhering amount of the carbon black is >10 pts.wt. and ≤25 pts.wt. with respect to the magnetoplumbite type ferrite particle powder of 100 pts.wt.
