摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To timely refresh PF, according to increase in the amount of accumulated PM and frequently refresh PF. <P>SOLUTION: A controller for hybrid vehicles comprises a motor 1 for driving force control that can generate power and conduct torque assist for an engine 3; a battery 32; DPF 22 installed in the exhaust path 12 of the engine 3; differential pressure detecting means 37 and 38 for detecting the differential pressure across the DPF; a refreshing timing determining means 30 that carries out first estimation, to estimate the amount of accumulated PM based on the result of detection, and determines that the PF needs to be refreshed, when a predetermined threshold for the accumulated amount is exceeded; refreshing means 3, 15, and 21 that refresh the PF according to the result of determination; an acceleration/deceleration detecting means 33; and a control means 30, when an acceleration/deceleration request is detected during estimating of the amount of PM accumulated, suppresses variations in the engine output and controls the output of the motor 1 for driving force control so as to respond to the acceleration/deceleration request. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
