<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device for which a reverse multiplexing section utilizing an analog switch is used, and a driving method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence light emitting display device includes the reverse multiplexing section which extends the signal outputted from a data driver and supplies the signal to a plurality of data lines. The reverse multiplexing section transmits the signal outputted from the data driver through an on/off operation of the analog switch to the respective data lines. Also, the driving method comprises driving one frame by dividing the same to two portions and applying the data signal to pixels not adjacent to among the pixels of respective rows and applying the data signal to the pixels not applied with the data signal during the former 1/2 frame during the time of the latter 1/2 frame. If the organic EL display device is driven, the supply current is doubled and therefore the problem that the input time is reduced by using the reverse multiplexing section can be solved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
