<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sentence proofreading apparatus for efficiently proofreading wrong words in the sentence proofreading apparatus to convert a series of false characters erroneously input to a series of correct characters. <P>SOLUTION: The sentence proofreading apparatus comprises: a component word extracting part for extracting the component words in a text; a word similarity calculating part for calculating the similarity between extracted words extracted by the component word extracting part; a word categorizing part for categorizing the extracted words into groups of similar words depending on similarity calculated by the word similarity calculating part; and a correct word defining part for defining the correct words for every group of similar words categorized by the word categorizing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
