<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize engine operation performance by restricting fluctuation of the EGR ratio in changing the excess air ratio. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an exhaust circulation control valve 10 to circulate part of exhaust from an exhaust system of an engine to an intake system, and feedback-control circulation quantity, an intake restricting valve 8 disposed upstream of the intake system connected to an exhaust circulation passage 9, an excess air ratio control means to change suction air quantity through the intake restricting valve 8 in accordance with an excess air ratio changing demand, and a means to limit the excess air ratio in changing it by temporarily prohibiting feedback control to the exhaust circulation quantity of the exhaust circulation control valve or temporarily reducing feedback control gain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
