ELECTRODE FOR ELECTROLYTIC PROTECTION AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing an electrode for electrolytic protection, which can comparatively easily bury the electrode into a central part of a structure.

SOLUTION: The electrode 2 for electrolytic protection comprises: an electrode unit 4 composed of an electrode 14 and a housing tube 12; an electroconductive tube 7 which covers the electrode unit 4; and a protection tube 6 for protecting the electroconductive tube 7 and the electrode unit 4. The method for burying and installing the electrode 2 comprises the steps of: forming a burying hole for burying the electrode 2 therein in a horizontal direction in underground with a no-cut-and-cover construction method; subsequently drawing the protection tube 6 into the formed burying hole and burying it; and then inserting the electroconductive tube 7 and the electrode unit 4 into the buried protection tube 6. The protection tube 6 is composed of a metallic tube 22 with flexibility and a covering member 24 for covering a peripheral surface of the metallic tube 22. The covering member 24 has electroconductive properties (electroconductivity and/or water permeability).
