PURPOSE: A thread cutting device is provided to improve operation with a cutting blade, an opposing cutting blade, a thread clamp, and an adjusting unit. CONSTITUTION: A thread cutting device includes the following: a movable thread cutting blade(37); an opposing cutting blade which is fixed on a sewing machine frame; a thread clamp(131) formed with an elastic material to clamp the yarns to be cut; and an adjusting element(134) adjusting the clamping pressure of the thread clamp. The tread clamp is formed into a leaf spring. The thread clamp includes a support spring end part(132) and a free clamping spring end part(133). |
