A system for power regulation in a handheld electronic device having a battery, includes: an expansion interface for receiving a battery power from the battery; and a peripheral interface system releasab ly coupled to the expansion interface and communicating with a peripheral device for generatin g one or more predetermined operation powers for the peripheral device, based on the batte ry power provided through the expansion interface.
